About UMBC All Sports Camp

 

What is this Camp?
This camp is designed for boys and girls who want an All Sports Camp on the recreational level and want to advance their skill level in a variety of sports. This camp will provide Division I instruction in: Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Baseball, Softball, and Tennis. Each Day of the week will feature a different sports theme. The morning sessions will include lectures, demonstrations, drills and contests. Then after lunch in our dining hall, each camper will have a recreational swim in our pool. We will finish the day off with afternoon competition and awards!

A child may attend either or both sessions (at a discount)

Camp Tuition:
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis until the session is filled. The session 1 rate is $250 for the week. For sessions 1 and 2 the rate per child is $475, if registering at the same time. The session 2 rate is $250 for the week.

If a camper is disabled from an accident or an injury, or is ill for more than five consecutive camp days, tuition fees can be refunded to the parent/guardian, for a value equal to half of the session missed. Requests for this type of refund should be made at the conclusion of the accident, injury or illness.

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $50 per child, regardless of the number of sessions the child will be attending.

For Early Drop off add $25.00 per family
For Late Pickup add $25.00 per family

Physical Examinations:
Each child is required to have a physical exam completed. It is recommended that the camp form included in this packet be forwarded two weeks prior to the beginning of camp. Forms are available upon request, along with a parental consent form and a permission to treat form.

Uniforms and Transportation:
Each child will be given a UMBC Under Armor All Sports T-shirt and Wrist band, but the camp does not have a required uniform so long as it's appropriate attire for sports of the day. Parents/Guardians must provide their own transportation to and from camp.

Late Payment and Late Cancellation:
Due to the increased number of campers on the waiting list, we require that payment be received one month prior to the first day of each session. Payment not received in time will result in an additional $50 late fee . Any cancellations within one week of the start of that session will incur an additional $50 late cancellation fee. There will be no refunds for cancelled sessions once that session has begun.

Lost or Stolen Items:
Campers are responsible for all items brought to camp. UMBC is not responsible for any items lost or stolen while at camp. Lockers are provided during pool hours, but campers must provide their own lock if desired. Please do not bring any valuable items (iPods, PSPs, etc.) to camp.

Meals:
The camp will provide a mid-morning snack with a powerade drink and lunch at no extra charge. Snack will be at the field while lunch will take place at the air conditioned university dining hall. Refrigeration is available for additional snacks and drinks if necessary. Thermos containers, water bottles, etc. should be properly marked.

Swimming:
There will be a recreational swim after lunch each day for 45 minutes.

Daily Competition:
Each afternoon after swimming, the day will conclude with an afternoon game competition.

Disruptive Behavior/Inactive Participation:
If any child continually acts in a disruptive manner or fails to participate (with undue reason), a brief written report of such behavior will be sent home. The camp will not tolerate horseplay and reserves the right to dismiss a child without refund.
